IP Administrator - Part Time

A rare opportunity now exists for an experienced IP Administrator to join our Intellectual Property team in Melbourne on a part time basis.
The main purpose of this role is to assist the IP team in the management of IP Assets of the firm’s clients.
Key responsibilities for the role are:
- Filing trade mark and design applications
- Filing and management of trade mark oppositions
- Preparation and filing of evidence in trade mark oppositions
- Engagement with IP Australia
- Obtaining renewal instructions and renewing trade mark and design registrations
- Managing local and foreign trade mark and design portfolios, including the production of portfolio reports
- Maintaining trade mark watching services
- Attending to daily reminders and liaising with the lawyers in the IP team
Required skills and personal attributes:
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and commitments
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel)
- Advanced knowledge of Aderant Expert Billing or other finance related software
- Ability to develop and foster excellent professional relationships internally and with clients
