As Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for the daily management and operations of our Cloud and Infrastructure platforms at Corrs.

This is a role for people who live and breathe the latest in cloud and infrastructure technologies, thrive on uplifting and motivating those around them to higher levels of engagement, skill sets and experience and have a real passion for learning and developing. The role has a mix of both on-call support and opportunities to work on a varied program of project work that will suit someone comfortable working in a hybrid cloud environment. It will suit a person who has penchant for digging deep and attacking complex problems.

You will be entrusted to deliver short-term tactical solutions to minimise waste and technical debt; demonstrate well thought-out judgement and planning for longer-term projects. You will display high levels of technical capability, strategic thinking and common-sense to help to collaborate on and deliver projects.

Engaging with internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners and maintaining a great professional relationship will be required to be successful in this role.  ​

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing solutions and support to all cloud based environments and applications in the business  
  • Enhance, analyse and automate operations across systems performance, security, capacity planning, disaster recovery and other manual tasks 
  • Plan, design and manage platforms, storage, security and systems and networks  
  • Continuously build and upgrade sustainable services including self-service tools for end users  
  • Implement and maintain DevOps principles and ways of working  
  • Complete required reporting and technical documentation  

Required skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Cloud Engineering role in public, private and hybrid environments  
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, O365 and VMware 
  • Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code 
  • Coding and scripting skills  
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux OS systems  
  • Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD processes 
  • Understand enterprise networking and cloud native network devices 
  • Very strong ability to identify organisational and technological opportunities for improvement and look for the right catalyst to initiate change 
  • Proactive, innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Thrives working in a dynamic environment and can learn and adapt quickly to new methodologies and technologies.
