An opportunity now exists for an experienced legal assistant to contribute to the delivery of the Legal Support vision which is to be a high quality, flexible function that delivers exceptional performance to enable the firm to provide outstanding client service.

You will be working with a partner and their market leading team on matters for high profile clients.  We are looking for a talented legal assistant with 5+ years’ experience who demonstrates exceptional organisational skills, excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and strong initiative.  You will be confident and outgoing and your focus will be providing high level assistance to ensure the needs of your team are met.

Required Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Word to produce high quality documentation (including working with templates and as applicable to role, court documents, applying styles and troubleshooting errors with confidence, speed and accuracy).
• Advanced knowledge of Outlook to organise and manage contacts, fee earner availability, and follow up outstanding matters so that deadlines aren’t overlooked (including, as required, using initiative to autonomously manage partner/fee earner emails and calendars, follow-up outstanding items from fee earners/clients/other parties and keep partners/fee earners updated).
• Basic knowledge of PowerPoint to produce high quality presentations.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced knowledge of CMS or other finance related software to manage expenses, matters, timesheets, client billing and reporting requirements
• Ability to oversee monthly billing for group which may entail between 100-140 invoices a month taking into account the various client requirements and deadlines including e-billing platforms
• Experience in organising travel and accommodation arrangements in line with policy and consultation with travel coordinators

Technical capabilities including:

• A minimum of five years’ experience as a legal assistant
• A minimum of 65 words per minute typing speed (98% accuracy)
• A minimum transcription speed of three minutes per minute of dictation (98% accuracy)
