Project Manager

The Project Manager will assist in the successful completion of Corrs technology projects in the delivery of business improvement and services optimisation. These projects vary in size, complexity and cost and span a number of functional areas including technology.

Initially this role will assist the PMO Manager in the Sydney Premises relocation project, as well as manage other smaller technology projects.

The PM will work as part of the Project Management Office (PMO).  The project teams will be dynamic and will involve staff from all levels within the business. Communication to other project stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, is also a requirement of the role.

The role will follow the Project Management Office Project Methodology.  Project Management includes:

  • Project planning and scheduling of resources in conjunction with the PMO Manager (internal and external);
  • Managing cost, quality and scope;
  • Project reporting;
  • Stakeholder management (including steering committees and updating stakeholder groups);
  • Risk and issue management; and
  • Liaison with the Premises team and with geographically dispersed teams who may also be working on multiple projects and initiatives.

Qualifications, skills & experience

Required

  • 3-5 years experience working on projects
  • Experience with the coordination of resources in a project environment.
  • Strong customer focus with a positive and proactive approach to client service.
  • Ability to apply analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Availability to be on site when required

Desirable

  • Relevant industry certification, such as PMBOK, Prince II or Agile Project Management
  • Experience in a professional services environment
